GENERAL QUESTIONS SECTION
What products does Pental carry? We carry a wide variety of natural stone, Lapitec, and PentalQuartz® slabs, as well as natural stone, porcelain, ceramic, glass and metal tile and mosaics.
Are you open to the public? Our showrooms and warehouses are open to the public six days a week. The order desk, tile will call, and the tile warehouse are all open Monday-Friday. Find the showroom that is closest to you by clicking on Locations at the top of this page. You can also virtually tour our showrooms before you visit! Click one of the links below to take a virtual tour inside any of our locations.
What areas do you serve? While our showrooms are all in the western US, we sell Pental products in 10 states including: Washington, Oregon, California, Montana, Idaho, Utah, Colorado, Alaska, Hawaii, Wyoming, and Nevada. Our PentalQuartz® line is sold around the country – you can find our distributor locations here.
Do you sell retail? No, we do not sell retail. We are a distributor, meaning we import the material and sell only to the trade. Customers can purchase through an installer/designer/contractor, or through a floor shop that sells direct to the public. You can learn more about our company by watching Webisode 1 of our series by clicking here.
What if I don’t have an installer/design/contractor/etc.?Most trade professionals in the areas we serve already work with us. If you are planning on doing your own installation and aren’t working with a trade professional, often fabricators or floor shops are the best resources for purchasing.
How can I get slab pricing? We cannot give slab pricing because we are a wholesale distributor and we only sell slabs to approved slab fabricators. There are many factors that influence the pricing of your countertop such as, square foot price, slab size, pattern, material workability, layout, and more. This is where fabricators come in to play. Because they will measure your space, template, fabricate, and install the material, they will provide you with the most accurate bid.
How can I get samples? For PentalQuartz®, Lapitec, and all tiles we have in stock, you can make a list and check in with one of our showrooms. For special order tile, we generally check out samples for 10 days. Our natural stone slab samples are kept on the warehouse floor next to the corresponding slabs. Many natural stone slabs do not have samples, but we do have photos of most blocks in the Natural Stone section of our website. You are also welcome to take your own photos as you walk through our warehouses.
What is your hold policy? If you’ve selected a fabricator, a 14-day hold can be placed with no obligation. Within 14 days (including weekends), we need a confirmed purchase order from your fabricator or the hold will be automatically released. Although you have 14 days, we highly recommend that you speak with your fabricator in the first few days to make sure that they have all the necessary information to put together their purchase order. If you do not have a fabricator, you may still hold slabs but we must receive the fabricator’s name within 7 days. Once we receive a confirmed purchase order, the hold can be extended to a cumulative total of 30 days, beginning on the day the slabs are first held. Within that time, the fabricator must pick up the slabs from our warehouse or pay in full. If neither of these actions are taken, the hold will be released by our system. This policy allows us to provide a wide variety of materials and maintain our inventory for you. Should you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask our staff.
How soon will my order be ready after it is placed?Slabs that are in stock at your location are generally available to your fabricator as soon as they can be picked up. The same goes for stocked tile lines at our Seattle location. Tile orders are delivered to our Fife location twice a week, and to Portland the next business day if orders are placed before 10am. Tile orders going to Van Nuys usually arrive 5-7 business days after the order is placed and payment is received. Most of our products are in stock, unless noted as special order.
How do I place an order?Orders can be placed by your contractor/designer/dealer by calling our order desk at 206-768-3200. If you are intending to pick up tile for your designer/installer, make sure they give you a reference or order number for pickup and set it up accordingly.
Do you offer design services? Our showroom staff is more than happy to assist you by answering general questions, providing tile samples, and offering an opinion to help with your remodel when you are visiting our showroom. Any one-on-one appointments must be scheduled in advance, are limited to one hour, and are only offered during the week. We cannot provide drawings or plans, determine quantities, or go offsite. If you require additional help with your project, we suggest hiring an interior designer.
Where can I see more installations with your products? Our Houzz page is a great place to see photos of our products installed. We also have an installation photo for each PentalQuartz color on the PentalQuartz.com website.
